Q) Do you accept credit cards?

A) Our office accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover credit cards.  We also accept cash or check.

Q) I don’t have insurance, can I still see the doctor?

A) Contact our billing office prior to making an appointment so appropriate arrangements can be made for payment for your visit. You can reach the billing office by calling 312.943.0282, ext 3.

Q) I had lab work done at CWHG but got a bill from another lab, who should I call if I have questions?

A) You should call the phone number shown on the bill. We do not have access to laboratory billing information even if the lab work was drawn or done at our office.

Q) My health insurance has changed. Do I need anything?

A) Each time you change health insurance companies you will need to verify that Chicago Women’s Health Group is a participating provider with that insurance. You will also need to update your insurance information with us. Be sure to bring your new insurance card with you to your next visit and notify the receptionist of the change when you check- in.

Q) I won’t have my new insurance card when I come in for my appointment. What should I do?

A) You will need to pay out of pocket for your visit, once you can verify your coverage you will be reimbursed.

Q) My insurance informed that I need to pay part of a bill. What do I do?

A) Send your payment to our office via mail or call our office to pay with a credit card over the phone.

If you are unsure or disagree with why your insurance company has denied payment, please contact your insurance company. Our office does have information about your individual policy to answer your questions.

Q) What if I can’t pay my copayment prior to my appointment?

A) Copayment MUST be paid at the time of service/appointment.

Q) Why did I receive a statement that should have been billed to my insurance company?

A) Did you receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance company? It should explain why something was not paid. If not, please contact our billing office at 312.943.0282, ext 3.

Q) Why did I receive a statement that I have already paid?

A) Most likely the statement was sent out before your payment reached our office and was entered into your account. Please contact our office to confirm the payment was received.
